MSW, RSW, Psychotherapist
EMDR Therapy, Trauma & PTSD, Reproductive and Maternal Mental Health
I love my job because:
I feel humbled and honoured to be a compassionate witness to my clients’ healing journeys. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is hearing clients say, “I feel free,” or “I finally feel like myself again.” Witnessing the resilience and healing capacities of my clients continually reinforces my belief that healing is possible. I feel privileged to do this work and grateful to my clients, who teach me every day about the remarkable resilience of the human spirit.
See me if:
You feel exhausted, overwhelmed, isolated, or disconnected from yourself. Whether you are struggling with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, or life transitions, I am here to help you understand your experiences and create meaningful change.
I specialize in working with adults experiencing trauma and complex PTSD, refugee and immigrant experiences, interpersonal violence, and reproductive and maternal mental health concerns, including infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, and perinatal and postpartum challenges. I also support parents of medically complex children, veterans, and first responders.
How do I help you?
My work is grounded in the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model, which recognizes that many difficulties people experience, including anxiety, PTSD, depression, relationship challenges, and low self-worth, are often rooted in unprocessed adverse or traumatic experiences. Evidence suggests the brain has an innate capacity to heal when provided with safety, support, and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
I provide trauma-informed, attachment-based, and culturally responsive therapy and integrate evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, CBT, CPT for PTSD, PE, ACT, DBT, and strengths-based approaches. My goal is to help you develop a greater sense of safety, emotional regulation, self-understanding, and connection to yourself and others.
I believe:
I believe in you and your innate capacity to heal. Through my own experiences of surviving war in Bosnia, being a parent, and navigating immigration, I have learned that healing is possible. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive space where clients can process trauma, reconnect with themselves, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and freer.
