My practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and anti-oppressive framework. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and actively engaged in your healing. I welcome clients of all identities, including those who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC), queer, gender diverse, gender non-conforming, or Two-Spirit, as well as individuals living with visible and invisible disabilities and those who identify as highly sensitive or empathic. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and attentive to the impacts of systemic oppression and trauma on wellbeing.
My work is guided by an Indigenized lens that centres Indigenous trauma and resilience and remains committed to anti-Black racism and anti-oppressive practice. I acknowledge the ongoing effects of colonization and structural inequities, and I support healing that honours culture, identity, and community strengths. I integrate Indigenous Focusing-Oriented Trauma Therapy with Culturally Affirming Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CA-CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Attachment-Focused Therapy, trauma-informed care, and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailoring our work to your unique needs and goals.
I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Indigenous Trauma and Resilience Program at the University of Toronto. My areas of practice include substance use and substance-related harms, concurrent disorders, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and racial identity and social justice-informed healing.
