Registered Social Worker (MSW & RSW) Virtual Psychotherapy Practice Opportunity (Ontario)

Common Ground Mental Health Collective (brought to you by Common Ground Health & Wellness) is a virtual counselling platform rooted in autonomy, ethical care, and sustainable practice.

We are currently welcoming experienced Registered Social Workers (MSW & RSW) who are looking for a supportive structure that allows them to focus.

This is a fully virtual, flexible role and an independent contractor position. Clinicians have autonomy over their schedule and client load, while maintaining responsibility for their own clinical practice and adhering to applicable professional standards, with a shared commitment to inclusive, respectful, and client-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience preferred
  • Training, or experience in modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR
  • A second language is considered a strong asset

We Offer

  • A 70/30 split with no additional fees
  • Reliable bi-weekly payments
  • Full use of JaneApp for scheduling, charting, and secure video sessions
  • Administrative and platform support (as needed)
  • The ability to work from anywhere in Ontario
  • Optional access to in-person space in Ottawa, now or in the future (space is limited)

This space (role) is best suited to clinicians who are already established or who are looking to build a practice in a way that feels grounded, flexible, and aligned with their values.

We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all clients and practitioners, and seek clinicians who actively uphold these values in their work.

Registration Requirements

You must be registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and hold an MSW. Experienced RSWs with a BSW are also encouraged to get in touch with us.

Practitioner Responsibility

This role is best suited for clinicians comfortable building their own caseload. Referrals are provided, though clinicians are encouraged to maintain or build their own caseload if desired.

Clinician responsibilities include:

  • Managing their own caseload and schedule
  • Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Handling their own billing and income reporting
  • Adhering to all professional and ethical standards

Practitioners are responsible for maintaining their own professional liability insurance and meeting all regulatory requirements for independent practice.

This role may be particularly appealing to clinicians seeking a more flexible, transparent, and practitioner-focused alternative to traditional clinic models.

If this resonates, we would love to hear from you.
